I like to make a casserole with some diced onions, bell pepper, green peas, and diced tomatoes w/ green chilis.

After you add it to the tuna, make a box of Mac and cheese and mix it together then you can either put it in the fridge and make a cold pasta salad out of it, or cover the top with shredded cheese or tater tots and finish it in the oven.....:)

I came up with that at the end of the month one time when food stamps had run out and i didn't have alot left in the fridge or cabinet.

You can also do it with Chicken chunks, makes for a very good filling meal.

1/2 small onion

1/2 bellpepper

1/2 box frozen peas(thawed)

1/2 can tom. w/ green chilis(drained)

1 box mac and cheese(made per directions)

1 8oz bag of cheddar cheese

or a small bag of tater tots (to place on top)

This will make enuf for about 3-4 ppl.

What is a good recipe for tuna fish?

Im 13 so, I need to know something easy to make to put in it! thanks so much! What is a good recipe for tuna fish?
Add it to some fried rice, or with some noodles. What is a good recipe for tuna fish?
    Easy Tuna Casserole ---Tuna, macaroni, creamy soup, cheese and fried onions are all you need to make this super easy tuna casserole that I learned from my roommate. It's great as leftovers, too.';

    3 cups cooked macaroni

1 (6 ounce) can tuna, drained

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup

    1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1 1/2 cups French fried onions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a 9x13-inch baking dish, combine the macaroni, tuna, and soup. Mix well, and then top with cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 25 minutes, or until bubbly. Sprinkle with fried onions, and bake for another 5 minutes. Serve hot.
    This will make 2-4 sandwiches:

    *2 cans tuna, drained

    *2 tablespoons mayo

    *1 boiled egg, diced

*Diced onion (doesn't take a lot, not even a quarter of the onion), or you can use onion powder

*Diced pickles ( use about 15 hamburger slices, or if you have whole pickles on hand, just use about half)

    *A little pepper

Mix all together and serve with bread or crackers. Wonderful! :) I had it for lunch today.
Well i make from what i am told good tuna fish but its seems kinda weird to some add some mustard and mayo in it and mix it then add some old bay seasoning and pepper. then you and to boil 1 egg per can then dice it up and place it in the tuna then add about 1/3 of a cup of Parmesan cheese per can.
hate to be unoriginal - but the mac and cheese is AWESOME with tuna in it.

(think = tuna helper, but you did it yourself!)

and add some old bay ( to taste )

Does anyone have a good tuna casserole or a good recipe with tuna in it?

I would like something different than the same ole- cream of soup, egg noodles, and crushed potato chips.Does anyone have a good tuna casserole or a good recipe with tuna in it?
    Tuna Casserole Recipe

Boil pasta (whatever kind you like, we usually use egg noodles)

    1 can cream soup

    1/2 can milk

    1/2 cup mayo

    1/4 cup onion

    1 can peas

    2 cans of tuna

    1 cup shredded cheese

Just mix everything together, top with cheese and bake for about 25-30 minutes at 350 Degrees. I usually add whatever spices sound good at the moment, and occasionally add a small can of mushrooms also.

    or

    1 pkg. egg noodles

    1 celery stalk (chopped)

    1/2 med onion (chopped)

    2-6 oz cans tuna (drained)

2-10.5 oz cans Cream of Mushroom Soup

3/4-14.5 oz can mixed peas and carrots (drained)

    1 1/2 c. cheddar cheese

    1/2 c. mozzerella cheese

Note: 1 pkg. frozen (thawed) mixed peas and carrots may be substituted for canned.

Boil noodles as directed on package, adding onion and celery the last 1-2 minutes. Drain noodles and add tuna, soup and vegetables, stirring until well blended.

Spread into a 13x9 baking pan, spreading cheese on top.

Bake in oven at 350 degrees until melted.Does anyone have a good tuna casserole or a good recipe with tuna in it?
This is good a good recipe:

    Tuna cakes

1 can tuna, drained (I like the one packed in water)

    1/4 tsp dijon mustard

1/4 cup bread crumbs (I use leftover whole wheat bread and grind it up in the food processor)

1 egg (or 1/4 egg substitute)

    onion (optional)

Mix together, using pie plate with crumbs in it (2 inchs thick or more), make 4 to 6 patties, (or one big one if you want a big tuna burger sandwich), cover each one with the crumbs.

    Place in preheated, oiled pan.

Brown on one side then flip it, to brown on other side.

    -----

    another variation:

    Tuna Cakes

1 can tuna in water drained and mashed with fork

10-12 saltine crackers, crushed (I use saltine crackers in place of bread crumbs in any recipe)

    1/4 c. onion diced

    1 tsp. garlic powder

1 egg (1 egg per can of tuna used)

    Salt and pepper to taste

Mash together ingredients with a fork and allow to sit for 30 min to allow crackers to absorb moisture and turn to a paste.

Form into balls then gently pat out to form a small cake (1 can makes 4 small cakes).

Heat skillet on med-high heat add olive oil and a small amount of butter.

Add cakes to oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.

Can add sliced cheese at the end to melt on top and serve on toast for a nice Tuna Patty Melt.

    ----

    Dipping Sauce

    1/2 cup mayonnaise

    1/4 cup ketchup

1/2 cup chopped dill pickle relish

    1/2 teaspoon yellow mustard

    1 teaspoon garlic powder

    1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Stir together the mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, garlic powder, and pepper in a bowl.

    ----

    Chipotle Dressing:

    1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro

    2/3 cup light sour cream

1 T minced chipotle chile, canned in adobo sauce

    1 t ground cumin

    1 t chili powder

    4 t fresh lime juice

    1/4 t salt

    Mix, stirring well.

Tip: Add a spoonful of adobo sauce for a spicier taste.

Melt in your mouth tuna casserole recipe?

My husband says he doesn't like 'warm tuna' but I'm convinced he'll like tuna casserole if I find the right recipe. Please only recipes you've tried yourself.

Thanks!!!Melt in your mouth tuna casserole recipe?
I made this one the other night:

1 cup of uncooked macaroni noodles (boil in salted water until al dente)

1 can of tuna in olive oil (or use tuna in water and add your own olive oil), at least 6 or 7 oz of tuna

1 can of cream of mushroom soup (Campbell's preferably, if using low sodium, add some sea salt or regular salt to the tuna mixture...not too much)

A few drops of soy sauce (low sodium or regular)

1 small sauteed yellow onion and one small red pepper (preferably sweet) also sauteed in a bit of butter

Black pepper, to taste (may also use some garlic powder or paprika if you'd like)

Mix cooked noodles and other ingredients and pour into a greased glass casserole dish. Bake at 350 for about a half hour, uncovered. Add cheddar cheese to the top, shredded or chunks, and let bake another ten minutes. Add some french fried onion rings on top of it all after cheese has melted and finish baking for five or ten minutes, until top layer of cheese and onion rings has browned. Some people mix the cheese in the tuna noodle mixture or put it on top right away and let it get really brown. Some also use bread crumbs or potato chips instead. Any variation of veggies (broccoli is especially good) is fine....you can add a bit of milk if you'd like to make the mixture creamier. Cheese and something crunchy on top is a necessity too.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but some folks don't and never will like tuna casserole - whatever the recipe. Why don't you make other dishes you both will enjoy and if you just can't live without your casserole, make him something else on the evenings you eat it.
Here's an idea. Try this recipe with canned chicken and if he likes it, try substituting the canned tuna for the chicken. If he still likes it, then you are good to go. If he doesn't like it with the canned chicken, then he's just not a casserole person. Some are that way.

    CHICKEN CASSEROLE

Egg noodles - cooked until el dente

    hard boiled eggs - chopped

cream of mushroom soup - undiluted

canned chicken - drained (you can use fresh cooked)

    yellow onion - chopped

frozen peas, thawed in the noodle water and drained

1 small can mushrooms - drained

    black pepper to taste

    bread crumbs

    butter

Saute the onion in butter until tender. Add the mushrooms and saute until no water left in the skillet. Add the cream of mushroom soup - undiluted. Mix in the eggs, peas and cooked noodles. Place in casserole dish. Sprinkle with a layer of bread crumbs and dot with the butter. Bake at 350潞 for 20 - 25 minutes or until bubbly. Serve.

If he likes it, just substitute the tuna for the chicken.
Liz has got it spot on *S* I add baby peas to mine tho
This isn't hot but you could heat it. Take cooked noodles, hardboiled eggs, chopped tomatoes, onions (and anything else you like such as celery, green peppers etc.) and tuna fish (use the barracuda tuna is so much better). Mix all these together. Then add either mayonnaise or hidden valley dressing (I like to use the package dressing that you mix yourself). This makes a very good side dish or a meal in itself. This is so good.
go to www.chickenofthesea.com and search to see if the have any tuna noodle casserole recipes. i don't like it either. and i hate green bean casserole.

420 g tuna in water (drained)

    1 onion

    3-4 grated garlic cloves

6-10 fresh basil leaves, chopped finely

1 cup of cooked frozen peas and corn

    2-3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

    dried basil

    1 teaspoon dried chili powder

    1 tablespoon butter

2 cups of grated tasty cheese (like cheddar)

    2 cups milk

    1 tablespoon cornflour, mixed with

    water

    200 g penne pasta

    grated cheese

    breadcrumbs

Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and put aside.

In a frypan saute onion and garlic until just softened. Remove from heat.

In a pan melt butter and add milk, when warmed slowly add grated cheese until melting. Dont let the mixture boil though. Once cheese is melted through add the cornlour or sifted flour to thicken the sauce. Put aside.

Cook the corn and peas until almost cooked. Remove from heat or microwave and drain.

In a large mixing bowl add the tuna (drained), the corn and peas, the fresh chopped basil, onion and garlic, sweet chilli sauce (approx 4 full tablespoons but add more if required), dried basil and a dash of dried chilli powder. Mix thoroughly.

Add cooked pasta to the mixture and slowly mix through the cheese sauce mixture. I usually taste here to make sure enough sweet chilli has been added.

Pour mixture into a baking dish, top with a very thin layer of grated cheese and then a layer of breadcrumbs on top. Cover with foil.

Bake in oven at 180 degrees for approximately 40 minutes or until cooked in the middle. Remove foil approximately 30 minutes into the cooking so the breadcrumbs brown up.Where can i get a very tasty tuna mornay recipe to cook for the kids?
