If you mean 'tuna' salad recipes, use tofu instead--kind of has the same consistency as long as you aren't using the silken tofu.Silken tofu can be used in place of mayo though.


Tuna Tofu Salad

';Tofu and tuna blended until smooth and combined with chopped celery, carrots, onion garlic and a hint of cayenne for kick. Served hot or cold.';


INGREDIENTS:


1 (12 ounce) package silken tofu


1/2 cup red wine vinegar


1 (6 ounce) can tuna, drained


1 large stalk celery, chopped 2 carrots, chopped


1 onion, chopped


1 clove garlic, minced


1 pinch cayenne pepper, or to taste





DIRECTIONS:


1. Drain and mash tofu. Pour vinegar over tofu and marinate for 15 to 30 minutes.


2. Drain excess vinegar from tofu. Place tofu and tuna in a blender or food processor; blend until smooth. Combine tuna mixture, celery, carrots, onion, garlic and cayenne in a bowl and mix well. Serve.

';This is great to have on hand for sandwiches. Wonderful on whole wheat with lettuce or sprouts.';


INGREDIENTS:


1 cup non-fat cottage cheese


2 tablespoons fat-free mayonnaise


2 tablespoons plain low-fat yogurt


1 tablespoon yellow mustard


1 teaspoon soy sauce 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric


1 teaspoon vegetarian Worcestershire


sauce


2 teaspoons rice wine vinegar


1 (8 ounce) container firm tofu


5 green onions, minced





DIRECTIONS:


1. In a food processor or blender combine cottage cheese, mayonnaise, yogurt, mustard, soy sauce, turmeric, Worcestershire sauce and vinegar. Process until well blended. Add tofu and pulse a few times, maintaining a bit of texture. Stir in green onions. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours to allow flavors to meld








Ready In: 30 Minutes

I have to agree with you on the tofu, however I did make a ';cheesecake'; with the silken type and it was actually really good--surprisingly! I think you just have to experiment with different types and brands to get ones you might be able to at least tolerate. good luck. :) Report Abuse

unfiltered apple cider... or u can get a product called ';Beaters'; its a egg substitute for people in your situation.. Good luck friend:)
Nah eat the eggs mate
You could try tofu. Its a similar texture and takes on the flavor of whatever you put it in. Plus, its good for you :)
