Lasagna Recipe With Herbs And Mushrooms (rajiv tiwari)

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375?F and slightly grease the pan with olive oil.

2. Add the lasagna to large pot of salted boiling water and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.

3. Meanwhile, put a little oil in a large saucepan over a medium flame. When it's hot, add mushrooms, onion, garlic, salt and pepper (to taste). Keep stirring. Cook till the onions have softened and all the mushroom liquid has evaporated. Add the tomatoes and adjust the flame so the mixture simmers steadily and keep stirring occasionally till the mixture is thick and saucy.


4. Mix the ricotta, parmesan, milk, basil, thyme and rosemary in a bowl. Add the salt and pepper to taste. Spread about half the tomato sauce in the greased pan. Arrange about ? of the lasagna over the tomato sauce, then cover the lasagna with about ? of the remaining tomato sauce, followed by about ? of the cheese mixture. Repeat again. Add a final layer of lasagna and cover it with the remaining tomato sauce. Arrange the mozzarella in a single layer on top.

5. Bake the lasagna till it's bubbly and heated through.

6. Serve your lasagna recipe hot, hot, hot!

7. You can store the leftover lasagna in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a few days.

Circuit Training

If you ever have a day when you have a tight schedule, things aren't going as planned and you need a nice workout with some cardio - you won't go wrong with circiut training. I like to set a timer for 30 minutes and get started. Sometimes with my circuit training,  I like to begin with 10 reps, then 9, then 8, and so on down to 1 rep of each exercise - if the timer still hasn't gone off, I keep doing each exercise, and if I'm halfway through my circuit training routine for that day, I keep going until the circuit is complete.

Grab your water. Grab a towel. Crank up some music. Stretch. Remember to breathe through each exercise, squeeze your glutes, maintain good posture and push yourself through the burn. Take your time with each exercise. If it hurts, stop! You want to feel a burn, but don't hurt yourself - you do, you will only set yourself back. Have fun with it! If you don't like certain exercises, or don't have weights throw in jumping jacks or do a knee-high run in place just keep moving, keep your heart rate up. You will feel a rush of energy once your workout is complete. I love how refreshed I feel after a great workout! You've got this!!

If you aren't comfortable using weights, still do the exercise. Working and stimulating your muscles is better than not doing anything!!~~

In any workout routine, it is best to give yourself time! Push yourself, yes - but not to the point where you get hurt and cannot work out the next day. Give yourself at least 6-8 weeks to see a noticable difference (though it is possible see results sooner, your results depend on you!). Don't forget to stagger in your 2 - 3 rest days. How important is this to you?! If it's easier for you to stay focused with a friend, make that call!! Don't give up on you!! There is no doubt you can reach all your goals!! Once you get into the routine of working out, it may surprise you that you may end up craving your next workout!

Remember before and after any routine keep water handy and stretch!! Breathe!! Warm up and cool down. Push yourself through the burn, but stop if it hurts!! Squeeze your glutes and maintain good posture!! Visualize your goal and if you can, always tell yourself "just one more!"!!!!

Day 4 - Select yet another different order for your exercises, add jumping jacks, jog in place, and jump rope (use imaginary jump rope if you don't own one). Do 4 sets of 15 reps each. This time in between exercises do one of the extra exercises (jog in place) for 10 - 20 seconds and move on to the next exercise. If you are a beginner, start with 2 sets of 10 reps, or 3 sets of 8 reps. No resting between exercises, keep your heart rate up.

Really take your time with your workouts, feel your muscles working. Don't cheat yourself in letting momentum set your pace!! Maintain good posture and squeeze your glutes during each exercise. Breathe!  If it hurts, STOP! You don't want to hurt yourself! If you want a little cardio to break up the exercises, do some jumping jacks, run in place or jump rope between every other exercise. Have fun with it!! When your workout is complete, stretch. You've got this!!

Shoulders, Chest and Triceps Workout

~ Lateral Raise
~ Chest Fly
~ Triceps Extension
~ Standing Shoulder Press (for challenge, squat while doing your press)
~ Pushup-position Row
~ Bench press with dumbbells
~ Triceps Kickback
~ Front Raise

Before beginning your workout, grab some water and do a 4 to 5 minute warm up. For these workouts, I use my 10 and 15 pound dumbbells. Can't afford weights?....use cans, or a gallon of water (1 gallon = 8 pounds).  I suggest 3 sets of 10 reps or 2 sets of 15 reps for each exercise. For beginners, no weights or light weights is best and be consistent to build strength for your dormant muscles; no less than 2 times per week and no more than 3 times per week. Ab Workout

20 Plank to Pushup
20 Lunge with twist
20 Reverse Crunches
20 Cross-body Mountain Climbers
20 Crunches
20 Side plank (raise leg and arm once in side plank for challenge)
20 Supermans
20 Butterfly Situps

For best results, do a 4 to 5 minute warm up before your workout. I like to run or get on my elliptical for 5 minutes before I work out. If 20 reps is too many, start with 10 or 15 reps. Don't make it too easy, you want to feel uncomfortable, just not in pain. If it hurts, STOP! Don't hurt yourself! Remember to squeeze your glutes and maintain good posture. Take your time with your workout. Feel your muscles at work.  When your workout is complete, stretch! Sometimes when I feel a good burn after an exercise I will give it a quick stretch before moving on the the next exercise. Find your rhythm. You've so got this!!

Killer total body workout

For this workout you will need a jumprope, medicine ball, dumbbells (or improvise with cans, or use a gallon of water - 1 gallon = 8 pounds), and resistance bands.

Begin with a few stretches.
* Jump rope 85 seconds
The next few exercises are with the medicine ball, really take your time with these exercises. I hold each exercise for the count of 8, and do 15 reps each exercise, but push myself for a few more since I do each exercise once.
~ Criss cross
~ Lunge swing
~ Around the world
~ Twists
* Jump rope 85 seconds (no medicine ball)
These next few exercises are with a set of dumbbells. Remember if you are a beginner, do not use weights and if you do, be sure they are light weights. Don't let momentum cheat you out of your workout, take your time. I do 15 reps of each, but push myself for 20 since I do each exercise once.
~ Power clean press
~ Sumo deadlift
~ Floor fly
~ Good morning
* Jump rope 85 seconds (no dumbbells)
Resistance bands are needed for these next few exercises. Really take your time with these. Remember to maintain good posture and squeeze your glutes. 15 reps each exercise, I push for 20. Do each exercise once.
~ Hip abduction
~ Roll back
~ Side kick
~ Leg raises
~ Bow and arrow
~ Resistance squat
~ Leg lift
~ Triceps extentions
* Jump rope 85 seconds (no resistance bands)
These last few exercises are with dumbbells. I do 15 reps, and push for 20. Do each exercise one time.

Now that your body has been completely worked out from head to toe, give it a good stretch! Drink some water. Remember in your workouts, if there is a move you are not comfortable with, do your own move. Stop if it hurts! You don't want to hurt yourself. My goal progress

In four and a half weeks I have lost 10 pounds and 14 inches!!!! 2 inches in my chest, waist, hips, and each leg and arm!! The best part is, I am starting to see definition in my abs!!!! This is SO cool!!

Each week I like to write down my goals and hang them next to my favorite lingerie and swimsuit models (I am a very visual person, and these both help me stay focused). A couple goals I set for myself one week is to lose 2 inches and to lose 2 pounds. I measure and weigh myself at the beginning of each week. Also, I like to challenge myself - ex. I add 5 minutes to my cardio, or 2 extra exercises onto my circuit training workout. Another challenge could be to cut out a food that's high in sugar. I don't suggest to cut out all your sweets, though you will see faster results the more sweets you cut out. I think it's better to have 1/2 of your favorite candy bar and save the rest for another day. With most things in life, it's more about quantity. Portion your servings; have self-control. My favorite sweets are dried apricots, red seedless grapes, strawberries, dark chocolate Silk Almond Milk, apple slices with 1 tablespoon Nutella, Greek yogurt with granola, a couple pieces of a Bit O' Honey or a couple squares of a Symphony toffee bar. Yes, the list goes on, but it gives you an idea of what I reach for when my sweet tooth strikes.

Watching calories is so important! In order to lose weight we need to burn more calories than we consume. I was never much of a calorie counter until my girlfriends kept telling me about http://www.myfitnesspal.com . I thought what the heck, and gave it a shot and I love it!! You type what you would like to lose, your current weight and a few more questions, and it takes the thinking and counting out for you. I was surprised a couple times when it told me to eat more. Last thing we want to do is starve our bodies, this just slows down metabolism and the body begins to store food. I want strong, lean muscles, not to just look good with clothes on. A protein supplement is a great idea for building muscle. It's difficult to get the high amount of protein the body needs to promote healthy, lean, strong muscle development. Protein shakes provide your body with fast-absorbing protein and amino acids to help your muscles repair and grow. I've tried several protein shakes, and my favorite so far is Melaleuca's Attain nutritional shake with crave blocker, which helps reduce hunger cravings and supports healthy weight loss. http://www.melaleuca.com I like to add a banana to my shake, and I use almond milk rather than water or regular milk. Remember to still eat food even when you supplement your diet. Having a shake for breakfast and lunch will cut out a lot of calories, but it will also cut on your energy lever, and you will most likely be more hungry than usual - take snacks like grapes, apples, mixed nuts, celery sticks with peanut butter or string cheese. On your days of rest, my suggestion is to watch your carbs and calories! I don't eat any extra sugar on my rest days. Using a probiotic to aid in digestion may also help. You can also add fish oil capsules containing omega-3 fatty acids to your diet to help burn fat for fuel and it also helps reduce inflammation.

Don't give up!! There are days where I have so much going on that I don't feel like working out. It is those days that I tell myself how wonderful I feel after I'm dripping with sweat from completing an intense workout. There's no doubt that it's worth the effort!! Be consistent! Push yourself! Stay focused on your goals, and reach out if you need help to stay on track! You are so worth it!! Believe in yourself and you will accomplish everything you work hard for!!
