A few things worth investing in....

views the best pictures

I love the convenience of working out at home! Over the years, I have slowly added to my weight, magazine, book and workout video collection. There is so much available out there for health and fitness, and new things come out all the time!! So awesome!! If you are having a hard time deciding whether or not to invest in items to workout with, don't buy anything right now. To substitute weights, use small or large cans, or clean and reuse your gallon of milk - 1 gallon = 8 pounds, you can fill the gallon halfway if you wish. If you do want to purchase something for resistance, but don't have a lot of cash, elastic bands or resistance bands are perfect for your first purchase. Usually, you can find elastic bands at your local hardware store. I purchase most of my items from Amazon.com. Dumbbells are a great investment for all who want to strength train. If you like, I suggest begin with the adustable dumbbell since you can add weights to it. The perfect pullup bar is another great investment!! You mount it in the frame of your door and have access to several awesome upper body workouts!! http://www.walmart.com/ip/Perfect-Pullup-Basic/20461387

Workout videos are a fun way to get an excellent workout in your home! I have several different videos and usually turn one on when I want to do something without my weights. My favorite workout videos are P90X and Cage Fitness!! P90X is such an incredible program by Tony Horton. www.beachbody.com/P90X
There are several different workouts with P90X, plus the program comes with information, ideas and a calendar to track your progress! Cage Fitness is a fun combat workout created by MMA fighter Matt Hughes!  http://cagefitness.com/  I love Cage Fitness!! It builds strength, endurance and definately gives you some 'umph' behind your punches, elbows and kicks!!
You choose what works best for you! There is so much available to you! There are several workouts available to you throught the internet, simply Google which type of workout you would like to do, and a list of workouts will line up!! Start at a level that you feel comfortable with and go for it, challenge yourself! What counts is that you do something every day whether it's a workout, watching your calories and carbs on your rest days, doing some cardio training, taking a Zumba class for fun....just do something each day. Write your goals down and track your progress! Take it one step at a time and do your best every day without beating yourself up! This is for you!! You've got this!!
