Sometimes on my rest days, I like to do a good stretch exercise whether it's the basic stretches, yoga or pilates. Stretching is great for your body, and with many stretching exercises it focuses on the core and some total body, using strength and balance. I love to create new stretches to take it a little further. It's fun testing my limits and pushing myself through them! Breathing is such a great part of good stretching! When you take your breath in, imagine the oxygen flowing through your muscles like the waves of the ocean flow across the shore.
